Production update 4/09/2009

........The drag out hollow project is progressing to the point were we are going to start shooting some of the dramatization of the many story’s that I have been collecting. Soon I will pick out a date for all of my actors to show up in Kampsville. Hopefully it will be some time in early June.

.......I am going to try to coordinate this video shoot with the Kampsville American legion. We will use their facility for a base of operation during the daylong video shoot.

.......I have contacted a person who will let us use some of their antique cars for the shoot. Also some of the historians that I have been collaborating with will be there to get interviewed.

......Several weeks before the scheduled shoot I will run adds in the Calhoun news asking any one who has a story about drag out hollow to come to the Kampsville American legion so that I may interview them.

.....That night after most of the dramatization has been recorded on video and most of the interview are completed, several of the musicians that have been helping me with this project will perform a live show at the Kampsville American legion. It will be a long exciting day and hopefully we will draw a big crowed.

Things that I still need.

......Many of my actors are having a hard time coming up with props such as moon shine still’s, and Tommy Guns. The Tommy guns don’t need to work and even a realistic toy tommy gun would work just fine. I can ad muzzle flashes and bullet wholes to the video in post production. But it seams that toy manufactures don’t make realistic guns any more.

......Also many of my actors especially the lady’s are having a hard time coming up with 1920 wardrobe. In the big cities like New York and Chicago a lot of the lady’s wore something that was called flappers. But not many people in Calhoun County dressed that way. Most of the pictures that I have collected show that women dressed in a simple country dress. Unfortunately this is not very flattering on my 21st century actresses.

......The script that I have been working on is starting to take a basic rough shape but it is far from completion. I am still collecting stories for my actors. If you have any stories that you might like to add to the project we still have time to ad them to the script for our actors to work with.
