Jersey County Fair Pageant is currently in postproduction.
Video was shot on July 13th 2011. We used 3 cameras for this show.
2 JVC HDD hard drive cameras and one older Samsung dv tape camera.
It was an out door show with several hundred people attending
the pageant. The weather was dry and warm but not to hot. The
sun began to set at the end of the little miss pageant in which
we took advantage of the exhalent light coming from the summer
sun set.
Next up was the Jr Miss pageant. The ladies that participated
in this portion of the pageant done a very fine job. They all
looked really nice, and the crowd was more than delighted.
Finally the Sr. Miss contestants came out under the stars and
gave the large crowd a nice show and plenty of attention.
DVD’s are available for $20.00 each. If you missed the
show you can contact me and watch it in the comfort of your own
home.

Summer vacation at Mark Twain Cave
Summer Garden 2011
I recently took a trip to Hannibal Mo. Too see the
world famous Mark Twain Cave. It had been a long time since I
had last visited the cave. I was in grade school and we took a
class trip to Hannibal to see the cave. It was my first and only
trip to the cave until this year when my wife and me loaded up
the family car and took our 5-year-old son. It was a hot July
day the temperature was 105. But when they opened up the door
to the cave we immediately cooled off. The cave stays 52 degrees
all year round. And it was most enjoyable on the day we went.
After exploring the cave we had lunch in the old down town part
of Hannibal then took a leisurely boat ride on the Mississippi
river. After the boat ride we played a quick game of putt putt
golf, and played on the bumper boats at Sawyers Creek fun park.
Before we turned to go home my wife and 5 year old son enjoyed
some Ice cream and a cold soda while I sampled some of the fine
Missouri wine.
We came back home from an exciting time and interesting adventure.
We all brought back home some nice souvenirs, some good stories,
and I brought back 2 bottles of wine. I highly recommend Hannibal
Mo. for a good time and a nice family adventure.
Ah yes here it is mid summer in Illinois. It is finally time
to reap the rewords from my hard work I did in the garden this
spring. My modest size garden is bulging over onto the lawn. Its
leafy green vines are burden with the heavy fruits and ripe vegetables
of summer.
This year I took my garden out of the landscape and I tilled
up a proper garden in the corner of the back yard. After defending
off an attack by the neighborhood rabbits I invested $50.00 into
a fence so that the little fur balls could not eat every thing
that I planted.
I am already planning for my garden next year. I think I will
make it a little bit bigger and try some new vegetables that I
have not grown before. Good luck to all of you gardeners out there
and don’t let the rabbits eat all of your vegetables.
