In this old public safety video, done some years
ago, for some foreign country in Europe. Shows the dangers that
can happen when truck drivers get distracted and does not notice
that the traffic up ahead of them has come to a stop.
In this video you can see a large red truck rolling down the high
way and then plows into 6 cars that are stopped on the road. The
first 3 cars are instantly disintegrated, and the last 3 cars
are badly damaged.
There is no doubt that if this was a real traffic
accident that a large number of people would have been killed.
The Australian crime commission is questioning 12 Bosses of
the notorious Hells Angeles biker gang. The commission would like
to know how they pay for their extravagant life styles with sports
cars, ritzy homes, beautiful women, and high-end bikes when none
of them show any kind of income from any sort of employment.
Apparently Biker gangs in Australia have organized themselves
into large crime syndicates. The largest of the gangs is the Hells
Angeles, but there are also other large biker crime gangs such
as the Nomads, Rebels, Commancheros, and Bandidos. These gangs
some times battle each other in violent turf wars involving drive
by shootings, fire bombs, and other vicious attacks as they seek
control over the lucrative drug trade.
In 2009 Hells Angeles and Commancheros fought in a deadly hand-to-hand
brawl at a Sydney Airport in front of terrified passengers standing
in line to board a airplane. One of the bikers was beaten to death
with bollards used to separate passengers in the airport flight
check in area.
It looks like the Australian biker gangs have the same problem
that all other organized crime bosses have. Once you have made
several hundred million dollars at whatever lucrative illegal
business you have been in. What do you do with the money? You
can’t spend very much of it, you can’t pay taxes on
it because you have no proof of how you lawfully made it, and
it is becoming more and more difficult to launder their cash into
a modern and integrated economy. What is a rich gangster to do?
Eat free for life. The strange story of the Grim Eater.
Worlds ugliest dog dies at age 17
Eat free for life.
In a recession there is a lot of hard luck stories about people
losing their jobs and homes in this tuff economy. Many of us have
had to cut our budgets and find better ways to save money. But
one man in New Zealand has found a way to eat for free indefinitely.
A New Zealand funeral home has taken action to stop what they
are calling the “Grim Eater”. Apparently a middle
age man close to 40 years old would attend up to 4 funerals a
week in and around the New Zealand town of Harbour City.
The man would come in, be very polite, and would always show respect
to the deceased and family. Then he would have a bite of food,
and some drink during and at the end of the funeral.
Funeral director Danny Langstraat told local paper the dominion
post that the “Grim Eater” showed up to at least 4
funeral a week in the months of March & April.
The “Grim Eater” was not breaking any laws since most
funeral diners are open to the public, but the funeral company
became more concerned when they noticed that he started showing
up with a backpack and would stuff food into Tupperware containers.
Langstraat said that the man stopped coming after one of the staff
members took him aside and explained to him that he could come
to the funerals but could not take any food home with him.
Tony Garing from the Funeral Directors Association told the newspaper
that such behavior happens occasionally in the industry but it
is difficult to stop because most funerals are open to the public,
and no laws are broken.
At the 21st annual worlds ugliest dog contest in
Petaluma, California in 2009, Dawn Goehring dog “Miss Ellie”
won this prestige’s award.
The dog’s owner only gets $1000.00 for the
honor of having the world’s ugliest dog. But it is only
a small part of a bigger financial reward. The owner and dog are
launched onto the worldwide fame, appearing on talk shows and
newspapers around the world.
However for this ugly K9 the fame and glory was
short lived. Less than a year after winning the grand prize the
dog died of old age at 17. In human years that would be 119.
Canine lovers from around the world were in morning
last week at the news that this bug eyed Chinese crested hairless
pooch was dead.
This dog might be ugly, but she does have lots of
personality.
