The Hendrix estate and Sony Music Entertainment

album, "Valleys of Neptune," which will feature a dozen

Fans are eagerly awaiting this much anticipated and long promised
album.
Hendrix died in London after a night of barbiturate use in September
1970. He was 27 and had no will. His estate, which is now valued
somewhere north of $80 million, was caught up in legal battles
for years; initially, control went to his father, Al Hendrix,
but over the next decade he ceded it to others with results that
left Hendrix devotees grumbling.
Eventually, Al Hendrix wrested control back, leading to the 1995
creation of Experience Hendrix, but his 2002 death led to more
court conflicts. Janie, the half-sister of Jimi, emerged as the
victor when the dust settled in 2008. She says that now, finally,
the obstacles have been cleared and "Valleys of Neptune"
is part of a major cache of material that will be tapped.
The Tarot is a pack of cards used from the 15th century in various
parts of Europe to play card games such as Italian Tarocchini,
and French Tarot. From the 18th century up to today the Tarot
has also been used by mystics and occultists in efforts at divination
or as a map of mental, and spiritual pathways.
The origins of the tarot card are unclear but most scholars think
it was originated some were in Egypt. Like playing cards of today
the tarot has four suits; swords, staffs, cups, and coins. Plus
another suit of 21 trump cards, and a single card known as the
fool. Depending on the game the fool can be played as the top
trump card or it can be played as a way to avoid following suit.
Even though tarot cards were a popular fad played in the salons
of Europe. It would later become associated with magic and mysticism.
In 1781 Antoine Court de Gebelin, a Swiss clergyman,
and Freemason published Le Monde Primitif, a speculative study
that included religious symbolism and its survivals in the modern
world.
De Gebelin asserted that symbolism of tarot de Marseille represented
the mysteries of Isis and Thoth. He also clamed that the name
tarot came from the Egyptian words "tar", meaning royal
and "ro" meaning road. Thus the tarot represented a
royal road to wisdom.
De Gebelin also asserted that the Gypsies, who were among the
first to use the cards for divination, were descendants of the
ancient Egyptians.
To day tarot cards come in many shapes and sizes with all kinds
of artwork printed on the face cards. Some cards have images of
angels, faeries, goddesses, and power animals ect.
Tarot card reading are still common in today’s modern society,
and many famous, and powerful people use tarot cards as a way
to help guide them into the future. It has even been reported
that Nancy Reagan had tarot card read to her while in the white
house.
