For the most part airplane
rides are boring. The only exciting part of the whole ride is
the take offs and landings. In this video you can see that the
passengers and crew got their money worth. The pilot had to have
been white knuckled when he took this big plane down for a landing.
Filmed from the checkerboard used for the
approach into Kai Tak Air port in Hong Kong. A Japan Air Lines
JAL Boeing 747 overshoots, and then lines it up just to get caught
in the wind.

2009 is gone now.
It was a long year full of many ups and downs for many different
people. It is fitting that our calendar year ends just after Christmas.
It gives us all a chance to spend time with friends and family,
talk about the good old days, and to take stock of recent hardships
and accomplishments.
Much to often the mainstream media focuses on the rich famous
and powerful. A new president, the deaths of Michael Jackson,
and Fara Fositt. This is what we see on the news.
Then there are always the sensational stories like the girl friends
of Tiger Woods, and the white house party crashers. This is what
many like to talk about, while others focus their attention on
the hardships that the global recession has caused. Some people
have lost their jobs and have had to start over with new jobs.
And still yet there are the people that have passed on. Not the
celebrities that make big news but friends and family that has
made a big difference in our every day lives. We will miss them.
It is comforting to reminisce about what was and what should have
been. But it is always more comforting to look ahead and dream
about what could be and should be done.
It is fitting that the New Year is associated with a baby. The
baby new year is a symbol of youth, hope, and the future for us
all. And that is a good thing.
So to all of you I say, out with the old, and in with the new.
Good by 2009, and hello 2010. What ever it may bring I say seize
the moment, and make the best of what the year may bring.
Happy New Year every one.

I have heard of dogfights,
and cock fights; in which it is my opinion that both are inhumane.
But I never even considered the possibility of people training
a horses to fight.
