Internet Media in the 21st century
How many hours a week do you spend in front of your TV?
How many hours a week do you spend in front of your computer? I bet it is a lot more than your TV.
In the 1990's many writers, artist, and musicians were eager to embrace this new technology called the Internet.
It would allow them the ability to publish content to the masses with out the expense of traditional media such as print, television, or radio. How ever this did not really pan out to be what most people had hoped for.
Because of the limitations of dial up, most consumers did not want to take the time, or leap the technical hurdles that it took to get to this content. But here we are today nearing the end of the first decade of the 21st century. Most every one has access to high-speed dial up, and today's computers are far more advanced, and affordable than the old computers of the past.
This new and improved media is much more user friendly, affordable, and most people use it on a daily basis.
