Well folks here it is again. Thanksgiving is already upon us
and that means it is the official start of the holiday shopping
season. This year black Friday falls on the 27th of November.
On that day tens of thousands of shoppers will be getting up
early before the crack of dawn, putting on comfortable shoes,
gassing up the family car, picking up friends and family, then
they will head for the biggest shopping malls they can find.
I am sure that many of you know some one who is gearing up
for this big day and many more plan on participating in this
giant retail event. How ever just remember a few important things
before you go on this holiday adventure.
1. Make careful note as to where you parked your car.
2. Take a list and check it twice.
3. Plan your shopping trip and work your plan.
4. Share your list with your shopping buddies. Network with
other shoppers. If they find something that is a great deal
they can call you, and it might save you a trip, and some money.
Charge your cell phone up.
5. Don’t eat lunch at noon. Go early or late but never
dine at the peak lunch hour.
6. Bring extra cash, checks, and credit cards. Remember most
debit cards have a daily limit as to how much money you can
spend.
7. Leave the little kids at home; they hate shopping as much
as you hate taking them.
8. Leave the men at home with the kids. They are no help at
all, and will make your shopping experience more unpleasant.
9. Buy something for your self.
10. Save time to visit your local retailers in and around your
home community. After a long day of fighting other shoppers
for room to walk, parking, and buying gifts. Stop in and visit
some of your local retailers. You can always find close parking,
friendly sales people, and more reliable service. Don’t
forget your local retailers when Christmas shopping this year.
