High
school football miracle, come from behind win |
|

The 2009 lawn mower poker run started at the Jerseyville
American Legion at noon on Sunday October 11th and ended at Sammy's
Office Lounge, were there was plenty of hot food and cold beer.
However this year there was more to it than just another run through
the back streets of town on your lawn mower.
At the start of this year's annual poker run every one showed
up early at the Jerseyville American Legion so that they could
witness a 50-yard dash between a horse and a motorcycle. The race
was held to settle a bet, and every one showed up to see the spectacle.

Quick lesson in high school football. The game isn't over until
the official blows the whistle on the final play.
Canton (Michigan) Plymouth High learned that the hard way earlier
this month.
The school thought it had defeated Westland (Michigan) John
Glenn when it blocked a last-second field goal attempt. But
when its players ran off the field in celebration, none of the
players realized that the ball hadn't crossed the line of scrimmage
and was still in play.
No official had blown the ball dead.
So while Plymouth celebrated, John Glenn's Tony Wilton alertly
picked up the ball and ran 33-yards for the winning score.

Wild gun battle at Ohio bar caught on video |
Dogs
like Halloween too.
|
|
TOLEDO, Ohio - A wild gunfight involving at least five gunmen
sent patrons fleeing from a northwestern Ohio bar, but police
say no one was injured.
This is unbelievable. After I watch this video and seen how many
bullets were fired, I cant believe that none of the gunmen didn't
accidentally shoot them selves or any one else in this crowded
bar.
The gunfire lasted for several minutes and was captured on a
video surveillance system at the Route 66 Kitchen in Toledo Ohio.
Deputy Police Chief Don Kenney says the gunshots escalated from
a fistfight that apparently began when a bar employee asked a
man who was trying to sell marijuana to leave.

Halloween is just around
the corner, and most kids have already picked out there costumes.
But the only thing more fun than dressing your kid up as their
favorite super hero or monster is dressing the family dog
up.
I don't know what it is about dogs that make it so funny to
see them in a crazy costume but it is almost always funny to
see it. Unlike cats, hamsters, birds, and other common household
pets the family dog has more personality and charisma that makes
it the perfect candidate for a silly dress, or crazy costume.
Yes that's right the family dog. You see unlike Christmas, Easter
or thanksgiving Halloween is the one holiday that the family
dog gets to participate along with every one else in the family.
During those other holidays most dogs gets tied up in the backyard
while every one sets down for family meals.
But at Halloween the family dog gets center stage and plenty
of attention. Plus when the kids come home from a night of trick
or treat, there is usually so much candy that no one notices
or minds to much if the family dog sneaks away with a few treats.
Halloween, a great holiday for both kids and dogs.
